What’s on the Menu

We believe good food is part of good learning. Our in-house chef prepares fresh, nutritious meals from scratch every day.

This Week's Menu

Meals are served progressively throughout the day across five sittings:

Our menu rotates regularly so children experience a wide variety of flavours, textures, and cuisines, keeping mealtimes interesting and broadening little palates along the way.

How We Approach Nutrition

Food at Karratha Early Learning is never an afterthought. We believe that what children eat directly shapes how they feel, focus, and learn so every meal is planned with that in mind.

Our in-house chef prepares everything fresh each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. No processed shortcuts. No reheated meals. Just real food, made with care.

Mealtimes at KEL are also social occasions. Children sit together family-style, which encourages conversation, independence, and healthy habits around food from an early age. We follow a responsive feeding approach, trusting children to listen to their own hunger cues rather than pressuring them to finish their plate.

Food is also part of the learning environment. Children are introduced to new flavours and ingredients regularly, and mealtimes become an opportunity to explore, connect, and develop confidence at the table, just as much as in the classroom.

Dietary Requirements & Allergies
Every child deserves a safe and enjoyable mealtime. We take dietary requirements seriously, whether they’re medical, cultural, or personal and work closely with families to ensure every child is catered for without compromise.
How we manage dietary needs:
  • All dietary requirements are documented and shared with our chef and room educators before your child’s first day.
  • Individual meal plans are prepared for children with allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary needs.
  • We operate a strict no outside food policy to protect children with allergies and intolerances in our care.
  • Water is available to children throughout the day; alternative milks (soy, oat, rice, coconut) are available on request.

Common dietary needs we accommodate:

  • Food allergies and anaphylaxis
  • Dairy free and lactose intolerance
  • Gluten free
  • Vegetarian and cultural dietary requirements
If your child has specific dietary needs, please let us know during the enrolment process or get in touch with our team directly. We’ll make sure everything is in place before they start.
